Down The Rabbit Hole

2010, Single Channel Videoinstallation, HD, 6:35 min

Down the Rabbit Hole refers to a quote from the novel Alice in Wonderland: “Dear, dear! How queer everything is today! And yesterday things went on just as usual. I wonder if I’ve been changed in the night? Let me think: was I the same when I got up this morning?”

The silent loop projection sees the camera drift through a dimly lit room filled with a great number of sleeping teenage girls. A grotesque image of adolescent deep sleep – a state of endless transition.
